  • My car won’t start. What should I do?

In case your vehicle has manual transmission, please check if all doors are closed. Then press the clutch pedal and at the same time turn or press the start key.

If you have a car with an automatic transmission, set the transmission to the position "P". Press the brake pedal and at the same time turn or press the start key.

If your car still won't start please call our 24h road assistance at +420 702 209 925.

  • My car has been towed. What should I do?

Please call our 24h road assistance at +420 702 209 925. We will verify if the car has indeed been towed.

We will help you recover the car.

  • My car has been stolen. What should I do?

Please call our 24h road assistance at +420 702 209 925.

At the same time contact the police immediately, it is necessary to get a record of the theft from the police officials. 

As soon as possible please provide us with the record of the theft from the police, the car key, Part 1 of Car registration certificate and International Motor Insurance Card – „green card”. 

  • I found that my car has been damaged. What should I do?

Please call our 24h road assistance at +420 702 209 925.

If you find your car has been damaged, please contact the police and fill in an accident statement with them.

  • Just had a flat tire. How do I change it? Can somebody help me?

Replace the damaged wheel with the spare wheel which is located in your car.
 
If you do not know how to change the flat tire, please contact our 24/7 road assistance and we will assist you. 

  • I‘ve lost the car key or it has been stolen. What should I do?

If you are sure the key has been stolen please stay by the car.

Contact our 24h road assistance at +420 702 209 925 and we will assist you. 

  • Just had an accident. What should I do?

If you have had an accident and either you or any occupants of the vehicle has been injured, immediately contact the Emergency Service: 112. 
Try to find out as many details about the car crash as possible and fill in them to the "European Accident Report". You can find the form in the car documents.

In case of an accident always call our 24h road assistance at +420 702 209 925 to receive further instructions.

Payment for rental

  • Can I pay a rental by credit or debit Card? 

Yes, you can pay your rental by a credit or debit card. The payment card must be issued to the name of the main driver.

We always do pre-authorization on your payment card. Deposit amount corresponds to the car category.  

  • Can I pay for the rental car in cash?

We apologize, we don't accept cash.

  •  It is possible to rent a car to and pay by invoice? 

This option is only for clients who have been cooperating with our company for a long period and have signed a Framework Car Rental Agreement.

  • How and how long do you block the deposit on my card?

We block a deposit for the vehicle by a so-called pre-authorization on the payment card - the funds are blocked on your account for the entire period of the car rental and are not transferred to our bank account. When you return the car without any damage, the pre-authorization is cancelled immediately.

Travel abroad

  • Can I travel abroad with a rented car?

Yes, you can travel abroad with a rented car but only to the selected countries within EU. It is necessary to report this action in the beginning of the rental and obtain a “Vehicle on Hire” permit. Travelling abroad is charged will let you know the exact amount at the office or by the phone.

Car Rental Extension

  • Is it possible to extend the period of my rental during the rental?

Yes, it’s possible. Please contact our company via email at rezervace@right-cars.cz with the request to extend the car rental.

The payment for the extension must be processed at the same day as the extension of the car hire. Please contact our office at rezervace@right-cars.cz or on the phone number at +420 702 209 925 and we will provide you with all necessary information. 

Pick up and return the car outside business hours

  • Can I pick up the car outside of business hours?

Yes, you can, but there is a surcharge - 1350,-CZK for pick-up outside of business hours.

If your flight has been delayed, please contact our office directly at +420 702 209 925 and our staff will assist you.

  • Can I return a car outside of business hours?

Yes, you can return the car outside of business hours. This service is free of charge.
 
At the airport office you can park the car in the garage on 7th floor and drop off the car key to the return box which is located next to the office on ground floor. The city office is located at address: Karlovarská 660, Prague 6. Please park the vehicle in the parking spaces in front of KIA car service and hand over the key to security guard. For more details please contact our hot-line at +420 702 209 925.

Please be aware that you are responsible for the vehicle until our employee takes over the car. 

Smoking in the car

  • Can I smoke in the car?

Definitely not - smoking is prohibited in our vehicles under the fine of 5,000 CZK.

Traffic offence and their solution

  • During the rental I have caused a traffic rules violation with the rental car, how do you process it? 

The traffic rules violations which are penalized only by fine are processed as follows: The fine plus the fee for administrative processing up to 550, - CZK are invoiced to the client.

We always inform the clients about all traffic violations and billing via email.

In the case where it is necessary to report the driver who committed the traffic violation: We have to hand over the drivers details to the responsible authority who will contact the driver directly. 

Highway tolls

  • Does the rental price include highway tolls for CZ?

Yes, the highway tolls for CZ are included in your rental price.

  • Does the rental price include highway tolls for the other countries of EU?

No, it does not. It is the client’s responsibility.

Fuel policy

  • Will I get a car with a full tank?

We have a "full to full" policy. Your vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of fuel. To avoid incurring fuel charges, you need to return it with full fuel tank.

  • If I return the car with non-refuelled tank, how do you handle it? 

We will charge you the amount for the refuel + refuelling service fee -up to 550,-CZK.

  • Can I pre-pay the refueling?

Yes, you can pre-pay the refuelling service at the desk, please ask our staff about the details.

Restrictions of the driver's age

  • Do you have any restrictions regarding the issue date of the driving license?

Yes, we have a restriction. The driver must hold a full license for a minimum of 1 year. 

  • Do you have any restrictions regarding the age of the driver?

Yes, we have. If the driver is older than 71 years or younger than 21 years, he/she has to purchase a mandatory insurance for 200,-CZK/ day at the desk. 
If the driver fall outside the age limitations, it is mandatory to purchase an extra insurance to rent a vehicle. However, the driver must meet the condition to hold the driving license for a minimum of 1 year.
